Recipe: Strawberry Thick Shake

Strawberry Thick Shake

2 pints fresh California strawberries

1 qt. vanilla ice cream, softened

Reserve several strawberries in blender. Strain puree through double thickness of cheesecloth to remove seeds. Process puree and ice cream in blender until smooth. Place blender container in freezer for about 1 hour. Blend for several seconds until smooth before serving. Spoon into tall glasses; serve immediately with long spoons. Garnish with whole strawberries.


Yield: 4 serving
