Obesity - Home Remedy

Obesity is the bodily condition that has been characterized by excessive deposition or storage of fat in adipose tissue. It is the result of excessive consumption of food to meet the physiological needs. Its incidence is higher in persons who consume more food and lead sedentary lives. It can occur at any age and can affect both the sexes.

CAUSES OF OBESITY
1. Overeating
2. Lack of physical work
3. Genetic or hereditary factors
4. Side effects of some medicines
5. Insufficient sleep
6. Stressful and busy lifestyle

SYMPTOMS OF OBESITY
1. Excessive sweating with bad smell
2. Feeling fatigue without doing any work
3. Excessive hunger and thirst
4. Feeling of weakness and depression
5. Breathlessness on slight physical work
6. Excess body fat

Complications of Obesity
High blood pressure, High cholesterol, Type 2 diabetes, Stroke, Gallbladder disease, Osteoarthritis, Heartburn, Snoring, Shortness of breath, Depression

REMEDIES:
1. The easiest and effective remedy to fight obesity would be to have 10 grams of honey, along with a glass of warm water. Consume this in the morning, on an empty stomach.
2. Have one or two tomatoes, on an empty stomach, every morning.
3. In a glass of boiling water, add ginger and lemon slices. Steep for sometime and strain the water. Have this decoction when warm.
4. Regular intake of carrot juice also helps in the reduction of weight.
5. Certain yogic asanas like sarvangasana, halasana, bhujangasana, shalabhasnaa, dhanurasana, chakrasana, naukasana, ardhmatsyendrasana, paschimottasana, vajrasana, yogamudra and trikonasa are highly beneficial.
6. Soak some leaves of jujube (Indian plum) overnight in water. Drink it in the morning, preferably on an empty stomach.
7. Include cabbage salad in your meal.
8. Drinking a cup of dandelion root tea thrice daily is also beneficial and is good home remedies for obesity.
9. Eat 10-12 fully grown curry leaves every morning for upto 3 months is helpful in reducing obesity.
10.Include French beans, jackfruits, grapes, figs, peaches, phalsa and guava in the diet.
11.Having green tea has been found to be beneficial in treating obesity. You can also consume tea made from dandelion root.
12.Horse gram can help cure obesity. Soak 1-2 tbsp horse gram in a glass of water and keep it overnight. Filter the concoction the next morning and have it on an empty stomach.
