Hjsplit: A free file splitter

Suppose you have a large file to send to somebody, and your email client cannot really take a 20 MB attachment; or think bigger where you have a 600 MB video file of a family member (kid taking the first steps) and you really need to send it to the grandparents, what do you do ? One option is to burn it onto a CD and send it via normal mail, but that is slow, and in this digital world, it is easier to send via email. So, you can use a free file splitter such as HJSplitter and break it into smaller chunks. You can get HJSplitter from this link.
HJSplit is very reliable, simple, small and easy to use. It does not need any installation or complicated DLLs, it just consists of one '.exe' file. This means that you can also run it directly from a floppy or CD-Rom. HJSplit supports many platforms (Windows 3.x/95/98/ME/2000/NT/XP, DOS, Amiga, Java, etc.). All versions are compatible with each other and allow you to exchange files between these different platforms. E.g. a file split on the Amiga can be joined on Windows 2000 and vice versa.
