There is a truly spectacular train journey that one gets to see when one starts on the trip from Interlaken to Jungfrau in Switzerland. The train starts from normal green covered land to a place where you get into mountains, rocky, ice and snow covered cliffs. You can see something similar in this photo of the transition, where you start to see the towering mountain tops.

When you get a great view, and have a nice camera in your hands, the itch to capture it a photo is incredible. But sometimes you are faced with situations where your photo will have glitches, such as this photo where the is a whole network of electric train lines that were obscuring the view. On second thoughts, I decided that this photo would make a perfect example of the coexistence of technology and nature.

A bulldozer digging up a beautiful Swiss mountainside on the route to Jungfrau, for making a path. The picture looks beautiful, but it was a bit sad to see a green hill being partially destroyed.

On the way to Jungfrau, the train passes through a track dug through the mountain, passing through rock. On the way, there are several stations, with a small view point, some restrooms and a small walk to stretch your legs. The view from this station, called Eiger, is spectacular. You can see the tops of hills nearby, showing the height at which you have already reached.

Euro 2008 was a big event for soccer / football in Switzerland, with motifs and advertising everywhere. And so it was, that on this train ride to Jungfrau, at a considerable height, we saw this train coach with the symbols for Euro 2008 painted on the outside.

A beautiful view, with a view of a waterfall falling down a sheer rocky cliff (covered on the top with greenery, lots of trees). This was the view visible at a stretch while on the way to the mountain resort of Jungfrau in Switzerland.

During the hilly journey to the mountain resort of Jungfrau, there was this one stretch where the train was level with a green and beautiful valley. At the far end of this valley, there were a number of beautiful houses - and who would not want to live in such locations, close to nature.

A great view of the snow / ice covered mountains while on the way to the Swiss mountain resort of Jungfrau high in the mountains. You can see the quick transition, where the hills in front are covered with greenery, while the mountains at the back are covered with ice and snow.

A view of houses and other habitation as view from a higher position. We were in the train that was heading towards Jungfrau (in Switzerland), and this was a beautiful view. There is a lot of greenery visible in this photo, and looked like a great place to live.
