The imaging power of Lumix has further evolved with the Venus Engine HD, which boasts two CPUs to provide approx. 2.4x processing capability and support for AVCHD Lite and HDMI output. It integrates all the advanced functions and camera operations with high performance and low-power consumption. In image processing, luminance noise and chromatic noise are reduced separately before and after signal processing. This is further refined by separating noise two-dimensionally into high-frequency and low-frequency noise. The circuits then effectively reduce only the low-frequency noise to minimize the unwanted noise and help produce beautiful, sharp still and motion images.
Playback with the ZS-series is also easy. Simply insert the camera’s SD memory card into the VIERA HDTV’s Image Viewer SD Card slot for a photo slideshow. Alternatively, connect the camera via an optional HDMI mini cable, the DMW-HDC2, to a VIERA Link-equipped Panasonic VIERA HDTV and use the television’s remote control to run mixed slideshows of photos and videos. The ZS3 features a 3-inch, high resolution 460,000-dot Intelligent LCD with a wide viewing angle, improving visibility during recording and playback..jpg)

Canon’s most advanced image processor, DIGIC 4, delivers evolved Face Detection Technology that keeps every face in every photo looking its very best. The technology finds and tracks the faces of moving subjects until you’re ready to shoot, then delivers perfect focus. In addition, exposure, flash and white balance are compensated, so that faces exhibit natural skin tones and backgrounds are properly exposed.
A Face Detection Self-Timer automatically detects an increase in the number of faces and makes the appropriate adjustments. For instance, to include the photographer’s face in a group shot, there’s no need to rush in. Just put the camera on a stand or tripod, specify Face Detection Self-Timer, and the camera will wait for the photographer’s face to get on-camera before it takes the shot. Motion Detection tracks moving subjects in a much larger range--allowing you to wait for the perfect shot without refocusing.
Red-eye Correction provides three options for removing red-eye from subjects in flash pictures. 1) Red-eye Correction during shooting actually identifies and corrects red-eye in human subjects as pictures are taken. 2) The PowerShot SD1200 IS Digital ELPH can be set to automatically detect and correct red-eye during image playback. 3) You can manually locate any red eyes in a scene during image playback on the LCD screen, and command the camera to remove them..jpg)

Customer feedback:
The Fujifilm Finepix S100fs is a superb camera, in most instances exceeding expectations. Whilst I am not a Pro photographer I consider myself an able amateur and have used many cameras over the years. As I am traveling more I decided I wanted a replacement for my Pentax K10D DSLR - which is an excellent camera, on par if not exceeding the Canon and Nikon offerings in its range (sub $1000.00). Lugging extra lenses around when traveling can be a real chore - yet there has really been no alternative - until now.
The S100fs is a real DSLR alternative at last - and this is from a REAL USER - not someone who has just read reviews or posts on the Internet.
The image quality is magnificent. Fuji have outdone themselves with this lens, it is a step above most Tamron, Sigma and kit lenses and approaches the quality of the higher priced offerings of the big manufacturers. The PROOF is in the images. I have standard scenes I always photograph to test cameras - one of them of the lake view from the rear of my house. Using the Velvia film setting on the S100fs I was astonished at the images it captured - some of them exhibiting an almost 3D appearance. This camera has produced the best images of this scene I have taken with any camera!

Denon DVD 1940CI - DVD player - upscaling
DENON has become a world leader in the manufacture of high quality audio and audio/video equipment and software products for the entertainment and information industries. Its professional-use and consumer-use equipment and software products are recognized internationally for their originality and standards of quality, durability and innovation. DENON is recognized internationally as Japan's leading manufacturer of high-quality audio and audio-visual products, and is the only company in the industry involved in the development and production of both hardware and software.
Technical Details :
* Plays DVD audio and superaudio CD.
* HDMI scalable output to 1080p resolution.
* DiVX Ultra v6.0 playback support.
* DDVC video circuitry for improved performance.
* Separate video D/As for interlaced and progressive mode.
CUSTOMER FEEDBACK : High dollar player for low dollar price !!
I spent some time researching upconverting DVD players and found that the Denon DVD 1940CI was favored by other reviewers on several other sites - and they were right. This player's upconverting technology may not match Blue Ray's clarity and rich detail, but it makes an amazing impact on my 1080p LCD. For a hundred dollar DVD player you feel like you stole a production quality unit. This DVD player has a very nice loading tray and pickup head allowing for stable playback and tremendously good error correction. I have a two year old who likes to "help" with the DVDs and the pickup head reads the discs through her finger-prints and scratches. If you're on a budget and not interested in Blue Ray I would recommend this DVD player to you.

Quick Tech Tip: CDMA - Code Division Multiple Access
CDMA (Code-Division Multiple Access) refers to any of several protocols used in so-called second-generation (2G) and third-generation (3G) wireless communications. As the term implies, CDMA is a form of multiplexing, which allows numerous signals to occupy a single transmission channel, optimizing the use of available bandwidth. CDMA, a proprietary standard designed by Qualcomm in the United States, has been the dominant network standard for North America and parts of Asia.
Coverage: The most important factor is getting service in the areas you will be using your phone. Upon viewing competitors' coverage maps you may discover that CDMA carriers offer cellular service in your area. If so, there is no decision to be made, but most people will find that they do have a choice.
For radio systems there are two resources, frequency and time. Division by frequency, so that each pair of communicators is allocated part of the spectrum for all of the time, results in Frequency Division Multiple Access (FDMA). Division by time, so that each pair of communicators is allocated all (or at least a large part) of the spectrum for part of the time results in Time Division Multiple Access (TDMA). In Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA), every communicator will be allocated the entire spectrum all of the time. CDMA uses codes to identify connections.
CDMA is a form of spread-spectrum, a family of digital communication techniques that
have been used in military applications for many years. The core principle of spread
spectrum is the use of noise-like carrier waves, and, as the name implies, bandwidths
much wider than that required for simple point-to-point communication at the same data rate. CDMA is a Direct Sequence Spread Spectrum system. The CDMA system works directly on 64 kbit/sec digital signals. These signals can be digitized voice, ISDN channels, modem data, etc.
CDMA is altering the face of cellular and PCS communication by:
· Dramatically improving the telephone traffic capacity.
· Dramatically improving the voice quality and eliminating the audible effects of
multipath fading.
· Reducing the incidence of dropped calls due to handoff failures.
· Providing reliable transport mechanism for data communications, such as
facsimile and internet traffic.
· Reducing the number of sites needed to support any given amount of traffic.
· Simplifying site selection.
· Reducing deployment and operating costs because fewer cell sites are needed.
· Reducing average transmitted power.
· Reducing interference to other electronic devices.
· Reducing potential health risks.

Denon DVD-2500BTCI Blu-ray/DVD/CD Player
Go beyond standard processing with the ultimate Blu-Ray/DVD/CD digital transporter for the digital purist. Combining top-of-the line audio/video standards with a rigid, multi¬layered construction, this breakthrough transporter eliminates outside interference to deliver unrivaled playback from a wide range of digital sources. And all this performance is delivered to your HDTV via HDMI. The DVD-2500BTCI is a Blu-ray disc transport that outputs video and digital audio signals via an HDMI port. When connected to a Denon A/V surround amp with an HD-format decoder, such as the AVR-4308CI, the DVD-2500BTCI's transport features can be used on their own to enjoy high-quality video and audio.
Technical Details
* Complete digital-only transport to eliminate interference.
* Single-cable HDMI connection and Digital HD output up to 1080p.
* Fully 10-bit processing for i/p and scaling circuit.
* Blu-ray 1080p/24fps output capability.
* Up to 36 bit Deep Color support via HDMI.
Features
* Separate blocks to suppress interference between circuits.
* Precision Drive Mechanism -- a Denon original.
* 1080p output to bring out the full quality of film.
* HDMI 1.3a output for HD video and audio signal transmission with deep color and high bit-rate audio output.
* High-grade I/P conversion and scaling up to 1080p.
* Supports DivX file playback.
* Includes easy-to-use control unit.
Unit performs well. For regular DVD's picture is about the same as the Denon 3910. Blu-ray disks are comperable to HD television. Uses the same remote codes as the older 3910, so no need need to get Pronto universal remote re-programmed -- a real advantage. Remote is OK, reasonably well laid out.
Few things to keep in mind. The only method of connecting the device is via the HDMI. This is fine for me, but not if you plan to hook this to an older AMP.
Playback will only play DVD-R not +R.

Sony Alpha A900 24.6MP Digital SLR Camera (Black)
The Sony A900 is the top-of-the-line model in the Sony (alpha) DSLR lineup. As befits a flagship model, the A900 raises the bar in a number of areas. In addition to being the first DSLR to incorporate a 35mm full frame image sensor, it features the worlds highest 24.6-megapixel (MP) resolution and the worlds first body-integrated full-size SteadyShot INSIDE image stabilization technology. The new full frame Exmor CMOS image sensor is significantly larger than traditional APS-C sized sensors, providing a larger capture area, improved wide-angle performance, and tighter depth of field control. In addition, its 24.6MP resolution maximizes the resolving power of your existing lenses for sharper, higher contrast photos. The A900also features Dual BIONZ imaging processors that allow continuous shooting at up to 5fps (frames per second) with superb image quality and ultra-low noise, a large, ultra bright glass pentaprism viewfinder with 100% coverage, an Intelligent Preview function that lets you see the effects of manual adjustments on an image before you take the shot, and best-in-class viewing with a photo-quality 3.0¿ Xtra Fine LCD (921K pixels) display and HDMI output with PhotoTV HD compatibility.
Technical Details
- 35mm full-frame 24.6-megapixel Exmor CMOS image sensor.
- Body only; lenses sold separately.
- SteadyShot INSIDE in-camera image stabilization; Dual BIONZ processors for up to fast 5 fps performance.
- 3.0-inch Xtra Fine LCD photo-quality display; Intelligent Preview Function reduces trial-and-error.
- Accepts CompactFlash and Memory Stick Duo Media memory cards..jpg)
HIGHLIGHTS:
- The A900 features a 35mm full-frame Exmor CMOS image sensor that is approximately 2.35x larger than the APS-C sized sensors found in many DSLR cameras. The result is a larger capture area, improved wide angle performance, and tighter depth of field control. In addition, its 24.6MP resolution maximizes the resolving power of your existing lenses and delivers sharper, higher contrast photos.
- Building on years of expertise, Sony has developed the world’s first body-integrated image stabilization solution for a full frame DSLR. The SteadyShot INSIDE in-camera image stabilizer actually shifts the image sensor to compensate for camera shake without sacrificing image quality. The compensation effect is equal to as many as four shutter speed steps, giving you more creative freedom when shooting in low light. And, because it is integrated into the camera body, SteadyShot INSIDE technology works with all compatible a (alpha)system lenses.
- The A900 harnesses the power of Dual BIONZ image processing engines to deliver true-to-life images with ultra-low noise and continuous shooting at up to 5 fps.
- A large, ultra-bright glass pentaprism viewfinder provides you with amazing clarity and high optical performance for tighter focus control. In addition, it offers viewfinder magnification of 0.74x, allowing you to see an image nearer to its actual size, as well as 100-percent field coverage for detailed framing work.
- The Intelligent Preview function allows you to see the effects of manual adjustments to exposure value, shutter speed, aperture, Dynamic Range Optimizer and White Balance before you take the shot, so you can determine the optimum settings before you take the shot, instead of losing time to trial-and-error.
- Review your images in stunning detail on the 3.0-inch Xtra Fine LCD display (921k pixels). With photo-quality resolution of 270ppi (pixels per inch), you can identify any necessary focus or exposure corrections at the time of capture, rather than discovering them when you transfer your images to your PC.
- The A900 provides direct HDMI output to your BRAVIA HDTV and other compatible HDTV screens, so you can view and share photos in breathtaking clarity and detail. Additionally, PhotoTV HD capable BRAVIA HDTVs will automatically optimize display settings, such as sharpness, gradation, and color to display your images in a way that more closely matches the natural look of printed photographs.
- A high-performance autofocus system uses 9 focus points (center dual-cross type) and 10 assist points to deliver fast and precise focusing.
- The A900 features an impressive design befitting a premium flagship model. The simple form eschews ornamentation and exudes competence, while the iconic pentaprism design element conveys superior optical performance. The A900 also incorporates a distinctive cinnabar-colored ring circling the lens mount -- a design element shared across every a (alpha) DSLR camera.
PROS:
Mammoth resolution, full frame sensor.
CONS:
Bulky and expensive.

CUSTOMER FEEDBACK
It's the cheapest;the music is now warm, organic, detailed and full of attack. It is sturdy build and has a very cool and professional look. The device itself has a ton of nice features (such as being able to remember different settings based on input channels) yet is still very easy to use. It comes with three different high quality filters: "linear", "minimum" and "steep" which can alter the audio experience to your personal taste.
To sum up, if you have a Squeezebox or a similar device, but feel that its analog output is somewhat lacking, then get this brilliant little device.
